Meal-Planning Mondays // Week 1

How to Meal Plan: A Clean Eating Primer from Real Food Real Deals #healthy #recipes #mealplanningHappy Monday, friends!

This week, I’m kicking off a new series on Mondays, called “Meal-Planning Mondays.” I was inspired to do this after actually taking the time this week to plan out our lunches & dinners for this week.

Each Monday, I’ll post the five meals I’m planning to make for dinner that week. The leftovers can be packed for lunch the next day! Since some people aren’t “breakfast people,” I’ll leave your AM meals up to you. I’ll post a link to the recipe, a grocery shopping list, and a downloadable meal planning template for you to enjoy!

Why meal plan, you ask? Here are three very good reasons:

1. Time Saver: If you already have your ingredients and meals planned, you don’t have to run to the store, run around the kitchen trying to figure out what to make for dinner, or spend hours trying to find a recipe. All of this is already done!

2. Money saver: When you plan out your meals for the week, you know exactly which ingredients you need to buy. You’ve got a list and you stick to it – no impulse buys!

3. Healthy Eating: When you plan out your meals, usually (!) you will end up with a more balanced, nutritious diet. You don’t have to run through the McDonald’s drive-through, grab a Lean Cuisine, or skip meals. It’s all been planned for you in perfect, delicious portions.
