Products I Love | Corkcicle and the Ice Jacket

Though summer will soon be winding down, there’s always something hot about ice cold drinks at a cocktail party, no matter the season. Luckily, the gizmo world has some handy tools to keep your wine or cocktails chilly and ever-refreshing.

For a friend’s Stock-the-Bar party in D.C. recently, I bought her a Corkcicle wine chiller ($24.99). It keeps your chilled whites at perfect drinking temperatures. It keeps your lighter chilled reds at perfect drinking temperatures. And it even brings those heavier room temperature reds down to more suitable drinking temperatures.

Another genius tool to help you bar tend in style is the Ice Jacket. Let’s face it: a gin and tonic over ice is nice, but serving it up in a creative way is much nicer. Enter, the Ice Jacket.

The concept is brilliantly simple: just place your bottle onto the base, cover with the sleeve, and fill with water. Freeze and then remove the sleeve to reveal your awesome-sauce Ice Jacket. Like an ice bucket, but better.
